Why does World Vision work with churches?

Living out our faith with boldness and humility is World Vision’s first organizational priority. As demonstrated in the Faith and Covid criteria, the key to doing this is to expand and deepen our partnerships with churches and other faith leaders. These partnerships can improve the well-being of children in the areas where we work and will unlock World Vision’s full potential. Faith leaders play a vital role in combating myths and harmful realities, identifying the most vulnerable children and supporting referral mechanisms.

Why does World Vision do interfaith engagement work?

World Vision is working in nearly 100 countries, often in contexts where people of faith other than Christianity are the majority. Cooperation among faith groups is vital, especially in areas where it is essential to transform unjust social structures and to be a unified moral voice that stems from our Christian identity, beliefs, that all are made in God’s image. Through interfaith work, we build trust, learn from each other, seek meaningful relationships and contribute to the spiritual, relational and social transformation of families, children and communities. We aim to be an authentic witness of God’s love, build trust, and help to restore dignity and hope in the poorest of communities.
